Simple Fruit Waffles — 2 Easy Ways
Who says waffles need eggs, dairy, oil or lots of ingredients?

These simple homemade waffles are made with wholesome, everyday ingredients and naturally sweetened with fruit.
I made two delicious versions:
Banana & Cinnamon Waffles
Ingredients:
1 ripe banana, mashed
1 cup oats
½–1 tsp cinnamon
A little water, if needed
Method:
Mash the banana, then mix in the oats and cinnamon. Add a small splash of water if needed to create a thick batter.
Spoon into a preheated waffle maker and cook until golden and firm.
Apple, Banana & Cinnamon Waffles
Ingredients:
1 ripe banana, mashed
1 small apple, grated
1 cup oats
½–1 tsp cinnamon

Method:
Mix everything together and allow the batter to sit for a few minutes so the oats can absorb some of the moisture.
Spoon into a preheated waffle maker and cook until golden and cooked through.
Topping Ideas
You can keep these waffles beautifully simple with fresh fruit, homemade berry jam or a drizzle of raw honey or pure maple syrup.
Or make a simple Homemade Berry Jam
How to make: Bring frozen mixed berries or berries of your choice to a gentle boil, then stir through a little tapioca or arrowroot powder until thickened.
Add a little maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter jam
Or make a delicious Homemade Carob Chocolate-style Drizzle:
How to make: 1–2 tbsp carob powder
Pure maple syrup and/or raw honey, to taste
A pinch of cinnamon
Optional: a small amount of chaga mushroom powder
Mix until smooth and creamy, adding a tiny amount of warm water until you reach your desired consistency.
The carob gives it a naturally chocolatey flavour without needing cocoa, while cinnamon adds a beautiful warmth. If using chaga, I like to think of it as an optional nourishing addition rather than something you need to make the recipe delicious.
Simple ingredients. No eggs, dairy or added oil. Just wholesome goodness!
Sometimes the simplest recipes really are the best!
Thank you for being here. Here's to nourishing your body, restoring your vitality, and embracing a life of vibrant health. Until next time, stay well.
